Approximately 500+ open-pollinated and pesticide-free wild Autumn Sneezeweed (Helenium autumnale) seeds per packet. Wildflower perennial that thrives with good moisture. Needs sunlight to germinate so surface sow in the spring once soil temperature reaches 70F. Can cut back in the middle of the summer to help flowers spread and become more bushy. Cutting deadheads will promote new blooms. Contrary to the name, it doesn't trigger sneezing. Sneezeweed gets its name from the old use of the plant. The flowers and leaves were ground and used as snuff to force the body to sneeze and expel evil spirits. Latin name originates from Helen of Troy.
