100 open-pollinated, non-gmo, pesticide-free, and heirloom purple sprouting broccoli seeds ( Brassica oleracea) per packet. Bred to overwinter by planting in the early fall for spring harvests. Nutrient dense and full of color when eaten raw. Originates from England. Grows to 2 1/2 feet tall. Direct sow outdoors 0.5 in deep, 2-3 weeks before last frost, 3-6 in apart. For indoors, plant 5-6 weeks before last frost. Keep soil moist and in sunlight. Add compost. Transplant outdoors after last frost when true leaves emerge. Place 12 in apart. Germination takes 5-14 days. Plant again in late summer for fall harvest. Matures in 60-70 days. Plant with herbs and onions.
