75 open-pollinated, non-gmo, pesticide-free, and heirloom serrano hot pepper seeds (Capsicum annuum) per packet. 3,500 Scoville Heat Units at maturity in 80 days. Grow to 1.5 in long. Green when growing and turn orange to red around maturity. Serranos are loved in salsas, sauces, and Mexican cooking. The peppers originate from Mexico, where their name translates to "from the mountain." Start seeds indoors as early as 8 weeks before last frost 0.25 in into pots. Maintain soil temp to 80-85F to germinate, 7-14 days. Use grow light or provide sunlight for 12+ hours a day. Transplant outdoors when soil temp is 65F during the day and over 50F at night. Harden off to cold for a week before transplanting outdoors. Grows well in soil, containers, or bed. 80 days to maturity.
