Walla Walla Sweet Onion Seeds

100 open-pollinated, non-gmo, pesticide-free, and heirloom walla walla sweet onion seeds (Allium cepa) per packet. Widely considered the "world's best tasting onion". Overwintering variety that can be grown in fall and spring. Grows to 2 pounds with award winning, juicy flavor. Short shelf life so should be eaten soon after harvesting. Direct sow 2-3 seeds 0.25 in deep after last frost. Space 6 in apart. Prefer fertile, light, and well drained soil. Place in full sun. Germination takes 7-14 days. Recommended to start indoors as early as 8-12 weeks before last frost. Keep soil moist and at room temp. Transplant outdoors 3-4 weeks before last frost. Matures in 100-125 days. Warm zones can sow again in fall for winter harvests.
