Black Diamond Watermelon Seeds

20 open-pollinated, non-gmo, pesticide-free, and heirloom black diamond watermelon seeds (Citrullus lanatus) per packet. Most popular heirloom watermelon. Thick, dark rind with firm flesh. Rounded shape that grows up to 40 pounds. Sweet flavor. Bruise and heat resistant. Grows in zones 3-12. Direct sow when daytime soil temp reaches 75F. Sow 0.5-1 in deep in mounds, 6-10 ft apart. Needs full sun and loose soil. Or start indoors 0.5-1 in deep 3-4 weeks before last frost. Heat soil to 75-85F. Harden to cold and transplant outdoors 1-2 weeks after last frost. Place strongest 2-3 seedlings in small mounds, 6-10 ft apart. Matures in 85 days. Plant with dill, beans, and marigold.
