Brunswick Cabbage Seeds

300 open-pollinated, non-gmo, pesticide-free, and heirloom Brunswick cabbage seeds (Brassica oleracea) per packet. Cold hardy with a long shelf life. Large drumhead cabbage with wide leaves and tightly packed heads. Grows to 5-9 pounds. Great for sauerkraut. Dates back to the 1800s and first introduced to public in 1924. Direct sow in midsummer for fall harvests. Sow 0.5 in deep. Germination takes 5-10 days. For spring planting, start indoors 8-12 weeks before first frost. Transplant outdoors 4 weeks before last frost. Plant in full sun to partial shade. Keep soil evenly moist but avoid overwatering. Cover with mulch in case of hard frost or excess rain. Plant with aromatic herbs. Matures in 85 days.
