50 open-pollinated, non-gmo, pesticide-free, and heirloom Eureka ensilage dent corn seeds (Zea mays) per packet. One of the oldest dent corn varieties that has largely disappeared. Heat and drought tolerant. Stalks grow 10-13 feet tall. Ears measure 10-12 inches long with large white kernels. Great for roasting or drying for cornmeal/masa/flour. Direct sow 1-2 in deep in full sun as early as 1-2 weeks after last frost when soil temp reaches at least 60°F. Cannot tolerate frost. Space 15 in apart. Space rows 36 in apart. Germination takes 7-10 days. Likes well drained and composted soil. Mulch around plant once established. Use organic pest control on sight of bugs. Matures in 115 days. Harvest after silk turns brown. Plant with squash and beans. Isolate from other corn varieties. Heat tolerant.
