Approximately 600 open-pollinated, pesticide free, and wild Great St. John's Wort (Hypericum pyramidatum) Seeds per packet. Potent wildflower dating back to ancient Greece that is used as medicine for neurological conditions like anxiety, hormone health, stomach pain, and in salves for healing skin. Easy to grow and spreads lots of seeds. Plant in fall or early spring on soil surface in trays, bed, or milk jug so seeds can break dormancy. If not planting during cool season, stratify in fridge for 60 days in a bag with moist matter. Then surface sow seeds once soil reaches 70F. Likes direct sunlight. Wildflower perennial. Easiest to direct sow in the fall into the surface of soil. Seeds need light to germinate, 14-21 days. Plant thrives in moist soil. For spring planting, stratify in fridge for 60 days with lightly moist organic matter. Then direct sow seeds 2+ weeks after frost. Don’t last as cut flowers so keep in garden and only cut for medicine. Save seeds from split pods after flowers fade.
