500 open-pollinated, non-gmo, pesticide-free, and heirloom green ice leaf lettuce seeds (Lactuca sativa) per packet. Crisp, loose heads full of bright green ruffled leaves. Mildly sweet flavor that is great for salads. Slow to bolt. Grows to 12 in and is ready to harvest in 45-50 days. Vitamin rich. Grows in zones 3-12. Direct sow first seeds 0.25 in deep every 12 in when soil reaches at least 35F. Germination takes 7-14 days. Thin to 6-8 in apart once seedlings start growing. Can continually sow new crops every 2-3 weeks in cooler climates. Seeds are dormant at soil temperatures above 75F. Lettuce likes even moisture and full sun. Matures in 40-50 days. Plant with herbs, onion, or radish.
