  • Moisturizes

    Tallow contains omega 3 fatty acids, conjugated linoleic acid, saturated fat, and vitamins A, D, E, & K to moisturize the skin. Olive oil contains monounsaturated fats, squalene, and vitamin E to support moisture retention. Hibiscus and calendula help the skin retain moisture. Hibiscus has natural mucilage content, giving it hydrating properties.

  • Tones

    Hibiscus is referred to as the "Botox plant" because it blocks the enzyme responsible for breaking down connective tissue. The flowers help improve elasticity, inhibit the breakdown of collagen, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Hibiscus and rosemary have mild astringent properties, contributing to skin toning, firming, and smoothing.

  • Heals

    The flowers and tallow promote wound healing, tissue regeneration, collagen production, and skin repair. Rosemary oil helps improve blood circulation, which supplies oxygen and nutrients to skin cells. The antioxidants from the oil, herbs, and flowers help decrease the damaging effects of oxidative stress on the skin. The cream helps soothe irritated skin and reduce redness.

Use Guide

Texture & storage?

It is solid, airy, light, and whipped. Separation may occur due to warm temperatures. Store in a fridge for the best texture. Remix as needed. It spreads easily and a little goes a long way.

How is this different from other creams?

The ingredients are organic and sourced directly from American and Hawaiian farmers using regenerative practices. The herbs infuse into oil at a 1:1 ratio over 6+ weeks to extract as much of the beneficial compounds as possible. I make this in small batches by hand. I use glass jars and metal caps as well.

How is the cream made?

The herbs infuse into the olive oil at a 1:1 ratio for 6+ weeks with daily mixing. The herbs are then removed from the oil. The oil is then whipped with the beef tallow.

Does it clog pores?

Beef tallow is beneficial for our skin because its compositional makeup is very similar to sebum, an oil produced by our sebaceous glands. The infused flowers and herbs help fight acne formation. The cream is not comedogenic.

Is this hypoallergenic & good for sensitive skin?

Yes, this cream is hypoallergenic and ideal for sensitive and dry skin. I made this product because I have sensitive skin that dries in the winter and reacts to synthetic allergens.

How does this smell?

This has a light herbal smell.

How long does it last?

The salve will contain a best by date and generally will last nine months to a full year from the time of purchase.

How much is in the bottle?

Over 2 fluid ounces which will last 4-6 months with daily use since a little goes a long way.
