45 open-pollinated, non-gmo, and pesticide free heirloom Kentucky Wonder Pole Bean Seeds (Phaseolus vulgaris) per packet. Dates back to 1800s with name Old Homestead. Great for eating fresh, frozen, canned, or in soups. Should be eaten or preserved same day as picking. Direct sow 1-1.5 in deep at least 1 week after last frost when soil temp reaches 65F. Space 10 in apart. Germination takes 7-14 days at temps between 70-80F. Provide trellis or vertical structure for support. Thrives in moist, composted, and well drained soil. Mulch around once established. Needs full sun. Harvest first beans 9-10 weeks after germination. Harvest beans daily to promote production. Plant can grow 6-8 feet tall. Plant with corn.
