Why Organic Unrefined Extra Virgin Olive Oil?

Use Guide

What are herbal extracts and how are they made?

The extracts are made by combining 1 part dried herb with 3 parts extra virgin olive oil in a glass jar. The herbs then infuse into the olive oil for 6+ weeks with daily mixing. The herbs are then removed from the oil.

How should the herbal extracts be taken?

There is a glass dropper in the bottle. A recommended dose is 1 milliliter or 30 drops. This roughly equals filling up the dropper. You can directly ingest the oil. The rosemary extract can be consumed but is designed for topical use on your scalp and face.

How is this different from other extracts?

Most herbal "tinctures" and extracts are made with alcohol or glycerin. Alcohol is a toxin and is used to quickly extract compounds from herbs. While it has a longer shelf life, it can alter and destroy beneficial constituents in herbs. Alcohol irritates people's gut and isn't ideal for medicinal purposes. Alcohol also evaporates very quickly, so if you forget to close a tincture you can lose some. Glycerin is not as effective of a solvent, so it does not extract all the medicinal compounds. Glycerin is typically made from vegetable oils and genetically modified sources.

How long do they last?

The herbal extracts all contain a best by date and generally will last a full year from the time of purchase.

How much is in each bottle?

Each bottle holds 1 fluid ounce of herbal extract in olive oil.

How should they be stored?

The herbal extracts should be kept in the glass amber jars away from heat and light in a cool and dry place.

Prefer this to other tinctures.

The cinnamon and ginger oil extracts taste great. I didn't know much tinctures were in alcohol or gelatin which seems unnecessary and can't be as healthy. Evoo is clearly a better option for your health. Glad to have found this.
