Prolific Straightneck Summer Squash Seeds

75 open-pollinated, non-gmo, pesticide-free, and heirloom prolific straightneck summer squash seeds (Cucurbita pepo) per packet. Productive and popular summer squash. Grow in a bush formation. Great for small gardens. Most flavorful when picked around 6 in which takes roughly 50 days. Old native variety grown in "three sisters" system. Best to direct sow 0.5 in deep after last frost when soil reaches 65-70F. Sow in rich soil and full sun. Place 18 in apart in small mounds. Keep soil evenly moist but don’t get leaves wet. Once vines develop, apply mulch. Protect seedlings if temps drop below 65F. Not frost tolerant. Summer squash. Plant with corn and beans. Ready to harvest in 50 days. Pick when 4-8 in long every day or two. Store in fridge. Save seeds that sink in water. Dry seeds for 2 weeks.
