Spaghetti Squash Seeds

50 open-pollinated, non-gmo, pesticide-free, and heirloom spaghetti squash seeds (Cucurbita pepo) per packet. Grows to 12 in long. Bake for 45-60 minutes to produce spaghetti like strands of creamy squash. Matures in 100 days. Originates from China and Japan. Best to direct sow 0.5-1 in deep after last frost when soil reaches 65-70F. Sow in rich soil and direct sun. Place 48 in apart in small mounds. Keep soil evenly moist but don’t get leaves wet. Once vines develop, apply mulch. Protect seedlings in temps below 65F. Not frost tolerant. Plant with corn and beans. Ready to harvest in 90-100 days when stem is dry and skin is hard. Then place in a warm spot with circulation for 2 weeks to cure. Stores in a cool place for 6 months!
