Grapefruit Seeds
Next time you’re eating a grapefruit, don’t throw out its seeds! Grapefruit seeds can exert strong antimicrobial and antioxidant properties to potentially help with candida albicans, gastrointestinal issues, metabolic disorders, and UTIs, among other potential benefits.
You’ll notice a strong bitter taste when chewing the seeds from the anti-inflammatory polyphenols limonoids and naringenin. It’s always better to eat the seeds in the fruit rather than taking grapefruit seed extract due to possible alteration in the market.
Similar to grapefruits itself, it’s not advisable to have the seeds if you are taking any medications metabolized in the liver.
