Approximately 120 open-pollinated, non-gmo, pesticide-free, and heirloom Italian red cipollini onion seeds (Allium cepa) per packet. Italian heirloom meaning little onion that have a small, flat, and disc shape. Become sweeter when stored and cooked. Prized for flavor when caramelized or grilled and used in salads, roasts, or cooking. Direct sow 2-3 seeds 0.25 in deep when soil can be worked. Space 6 in apart. Prefer fertile, light, and well drained soil. Place in full sun. Germination takes 7-14 days. Or for indoors, start as early as 8-12 weeks before last frost. Keep soil moist and room temp. Transplant outdoors 3-4 weeks before last frost. Matures in 105 days. Warm zones can sow again in fall for winter harvests.
