Approximately 50 open-pollinated, non-gmo, pesticide-free, and native Swamp Milkweed (Asclepias incarnata) seeds per packet. Attracts and protects monarch butterflies and caterpillars. Plant in fall or early spring below soil surface to break dormancy. If not planting during cool season, cold stratify in fridge for 30 days in a bag with moist organic matter. Spreads quickly and doesn't transplant well. Native wildflower in much of North America along swamps, marshes, fens, and stream banks. Will self seed! Direct sow 0.25 in deep in the fall or 6-12 weeks before last frost. Or cold stratify in fridge for 30 days, 4-6 weeks before last frost. Then direct sow after last frost. Germination takes 7-10 days once warmer temps arrive. Space 12-18 in apart. Water lightly. Attracts pollinators like monarch butterflies. Plant will reseed with wind. Choose flowers that just opened for cuttings.
