Approximately 150 wildflower and pesticide free Wild Annual Sunflower Seeds (Helianthus annuus) per packet. Annual wildflower. Cannot sell this to customers in Iowa. Noxious in parts of Texas and Minnesota as well. Flower heads track with the sun. Grows up to 5 feet. Attracts birds and pollinators. Direct sow once soil temps reach 70F, usually 2-4 weeks after last frost. Place several seeds 1 in deep and 6 in apart. Germination takes 7-10 days. Prefers rich, well drained soil. Keep soil evenly moist. Protect seedlings from birds. Sunflower tolerates drought once established. Blooms in late summer. Cut flowers 1.5 ft below flower head at an angle and place in water.
